Welcome to Air Force Junior ROTC!
Welcome to Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC). If this is your first time in an AFJROTC Class; then you are an Aerospace Science I Cadet. We have Aerospace Science (AS) I, II, III, and IV cadets.
Reading the Cadet Guide is the first thing you will want to do to "spool up"(*) and learn those things that will help you feel comfortable with AFJROTC. The Cadet Guide will tell you about wearing the uniform, awards and ribbons you can earn, how the cadet corps in organized, scholarships you can receive, and many more topics; ............ so look in the index and scope it out.
Junior ROTC is like a family, and being in the MN-941st AFJROTC Cadet Wing makes you a member of that family. Your Aerospace Science Instructors (ASI’s) want to make you feel welcomed and we will help you anyway we can......... so ask. We know this is new to you and we want this to be a positive and rewarding experience for you —so ask. The AS II, AS III, and AS IV cadets will want you to feel like part of the team also......... so ask. The Cadets were all new in AFJROTC themselves at one time and they know how you feel; so ask for their help. Read the Cadet Guide, and ask those questions!
We are always looking for cadets to participate in our Drill Team, Color Guard, Model Airplane Club and Model Rocket Club. If these are of interest to you, ask your ASI how you can join the fun.
We have a year planned with many adventures, activities, and events you can take part in. Things like: airplane rides, a Military Ball, field trips, drill competition, parades, rocket launches, and many more. So "throttle up" (*) and take off with us on a fun year!
