Answer: ACE stands for Academy of Architecture, Construction and Engineering. In this academy, students are exposed to the many aspects of designing and engineering the problems incurred in construction projects.

2) Why join ACE?

Answer: ACE offers a variety of opportunities for any motivated students interested in the areas of science, engineering, interior design, construction, and automotive, to get valuable hands-on experience and expert advice from professionals who are currently working in the field. Furthermore, ACE has connections with several businesses that will either offer job shadowing and/or internship opportunities for ACE academy students.

3) Who can join ACE?

Answer: Anyone can join ACE. The ACE staff welcomes all students who want more out of  life than just books and pencils. However, interested students must possess the following characteristics to be successful in ACE:  First, all students of ACE Academy must maintain acceptable grade point averages as determined by ISD 625, Johnson High, and ACE staff. Second, all students must be interested in either architecture, construction, interior design, auto mechanics or engineering. Third, all students must possess a positive attitude and be willing to work hard whether on their own or as a team.

4) What do I need to do to get into ACE? Where can I find out?

Answer: All incoming freshmen should talk to their respective counselor right away and convey their interest in joining ACE. Furthermore, it is a requirement that all incoming freshmen must take Freshmen Focus prior to joining an academy. Any interested student should try to talk to an ACE staff member in addition to their counselor about all the prerequisites needed prior to joining ACE.

Answer: ACE staff are some of the best people in their respective fields. Our dedication and commitment to our students will ensure that every student in the ACE Academy have the resources and guidance they need to be successful. Whenever necessary, our friendly staff will offer tutoring sessions and seek outside expertise as needed to ensure that our students' needs are met.
