Our students come from all grades and every academy at Johnson!
Johnson
High School offers music instruction through performing ensembles,
piano and guitar classes, and non-performance classes:
• Our performing ensembles are Choir, Band, and Orchestra.
• Class instruction in piano and guitar is offered at several levels.
• Non-performance classes include Songwriting and Music in the Movies.
OUR MUSIC DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to help students grow through music:
- To develop students' intellectual, emotional, and physical abilities specifically and in relation to each other;
- To develop musicianship, creativity, and ensemble skills both individually and as a group; and
- To instill traditional American values of teamwork, cooperation, responsibility, loyalty, and effort.
